The International Academy of Music’s flexible CPD music courses will offer educators working worldwide a chance to explore and develop areas of music and composition to a greater depth, using methods that can be integrated into professional practice.

Our Continuing Professional Development courses will be offered in short and longer term study formats meaning that each course can be adapted to the specific level needed by each educator.

This is personalised training and study, supported by one of our tutors, not a one-size-fits-all course.  We want to make our passion about music and composition your passion, transferring our knowledge to help you confidently build practical skills.

Our home study CPD courses are delivered through a mixture of reading, listening & online research and short assignments along with supportive mentored feedback. A certificate will be issued on completion of each course.

More information about our range of courses can be found HERE.

Study at your leisure from the convenience of home, fitting your study around existing commitments, with the full guidance and support of one of our expert tutors.

The courses are designed with your personal musical development in mind, whether that be as a composer who wishes to develop further vocational skills in composition, orchestration or arranging, or as a music appreciator who wants to widen their listening and knowledge.

Courses due to be launched include:  Listening to the 20th Century: Rare Repertoire, Discovering Historical Music, Listening for Musicians: Medieval and Renaissance and Listening and Repertoire Studies in Film Music / Musical Theatre
